Below my personal Top 10 of 2010.
1. Notebooks Ukrainians - Igort (Mondadori)
In a moving and original work of comics journalism, Igort brings to light painful and terrible events of the twentieth-century history.
2. 5000 kilometers per second - Manuele Fior (Coconino Press / Fandango)
The book of the maturity of an extraordinary talent of the Italian comic book, a real master of color and emotion.
3. Wilson - Daniel Clowes (Coconino Press / Fandango)
table after table, cynical existence of Wilson unfolds before the eyes of the reader, including caustic humor and biting satire on contemporary life.
4. The winter of Italy - Davide Toffolo (Coconino Press / Fandango)
In the year that marks the 150th Unification of Italy, and removed a painful page in history finds himself heading home through the efforts Davide Toffolo in a poignant and poetic black and white.
5. The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen Century 1910 - Alan Moore, Kevin O'Neill (Planeta Agostini)
A clever divertissement, and more. Because Moore is always Moore. Perfect designs by Kevin O'Neill.
6. The girls in the study of Munari - A. Baronciani (Black Velvet)
between experimentation and minimalism. A comic book that is not only to read but ... to discover, page after page.
7. Castle - Linda Medley (Paragraph 22) The sign
clean e le storie fantastiche della Medley regalano una lettura leggera e rigenerante.
8. Red Rocket 7 - Mike Allred (BAO)
La storia del rock e del pop si unisce ad una trama sci-fi nel segno del più pop degli Autori di comics.
9. Astro city n.4: Eroi locali - Kurt Busiek e Brent Anderson (Magic Press)
Ogni volta che si torna ad Astro City è sempre un piacere.
10. Mesmo Delivery - Rafael Grampà (Comma 22)
Il talento di Grampà è cristallino. La storia viaggia veloce ma sono i disegni a deliziare.
